While at trial, the most important thing is to make sure that the jury fully understands the medical and non-medical issues you have suffered from, currently suffer from, and will suffer in the future. We do this in a number of ways. We use photo boards with both x-rays and artist illustrations to walk you through procedures that had to be completed. There are several reasons for this. One is that a doctor may not help you understand this while reading off the list of symptoms and diagnosis for the client. Another is that some of those injuries will have been treated and healed by the time of the trial. Just because a person can move their arm at trial doesn't mean it wasn't fractured and had to be fixed with rods or nails. We want to show how our client's life has been affected.
